I just got my iPod Touch for Christmas but I fell in love with it instantly. I had apps on it within the hour. So I’m gonna rundown my favorite apps of 2008.
5. Flashlight- I don’t use it that often but when I do it is very useful. It has to be a standard to anyone who ever needs a light in a dark situation.
4. Audi A4– It was a free game where you dive around a test driving course from overhead view. It’s quite fun once you learn not to run into the cones.
3. Sol Free- It throws a different spin on the original Solitaire game with all these different types of games it has to choose from. They were weird to me at the beginning but after a hour of playing they became familiar. I’ve only won 1 game so I don’t play it that often.
2. iFart- It may cost something but it is just so fun to do! Some may call me immature but considering it’s the number 1 app on iTunes at the moment I think it’s pretty decent.
1. Tangram Pro- I have spent hours playing this game for the few days I’ve had it. It was a bit confusing at the beginning but after playing through all the levels I have learned the different positions and can finish them relatively fast.
The classic physics experiment involving sound, a tube of propane and fire. The Mythbusters made a video about it but it wasn’t as good as this one. That is the first time they have disappointed me.
How many of you have that sibling or family member that will sneeze all the time without covering their nose?
Well I do and there doesn’t seem to be anything I can do about it. When he does it I fuss at him then he will cover his nose for the one next time he does it in front of me. Of course by the next time he sneezes he doesn’t cover his nose. I was sitting in the living room on my laptop and he was on the desktop. I look over and see him sneeze all over the desk and mouse. Then I go to fuss at him and of course I end up getting in trouble. Apparently my parents don’t care about germs like I do. He caught the cold that my mom and I had for over two months and now I risk the chance of getting it back. There is never an end to colds in our household. If you have any ideas on what I can do to stop him please tell me about it.
Netbooks are underpowered. There is no denying that fact. But is it really the manufacturer’s fault? Not exactly. Because of Microsoft‘s Ultra Low Cost PC (ulcpc) licensing program, manufacturers have to stick to Microsoft’s regulations. If they don’t, then they can’t purchase xp at a discount ($26-32), which is the only way to get xp since they no longer sell it. These rules are why you can’t buy a netbook with more that 1gb of ram. Thanks Microsoft.
Nvidia has announced a new platform designed to deliver high end graphics for netbooks with their new Nvidia Ion Platform. The Nvidia Ion Platform will be able to deliver HD video and high end 3D gaming to your netbook. The platform combines Intel’s Atom processor with a Nvidia GeForce 9400m GPU, and it is likely to be released in the first half of 2009.
The new Nvidia Ion platform will be powerful enough to run Windows Vista and Windows 7 on netbooks, and will generate less heat than the current Atom system while offering the same battery life. This new platform is likely to only add an extra $50 to netbook prices.
